The best ingredients – The basis of our quality guarantee
Top quality begins with exceptional care taken over the selection of ingredients. That’s why we only use high-quality, natural and healthy ingredients in our premium dog and cat food. We do not use genetically modified raw materials, nor do we ever use wheat, soy or any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Our supplier contracts guarantee this, and we constantly monitor this aspect in our in-house laboratory. We place great importance on sustaining long-term and reliable relationships with our partners to ensure we are able to guarantee our high-quality standards on a continuous basis.
Of course, the meat components that we use come exclusively from animals that are suitable for human consumption. In order to protect wild fish stocks, we obtain the salmon contained in our products from environmentally friendly European aquacultures. We also favor regional raw materials in the production of JOSERA premium petfood for environmental as well as quality purposes.
Maximum safety thanks to the JOSERA lab
JOSERA guarantees faultless, first-class product quality. For this reason, 100% of all incoming raw materials are inspected and analyzed in our in-house lab before proceeding to production in order to meet the most stringent criteria and highest quality standards. All outgoing products are tested once more before leaving the factory and we also keep samples for 5 years. Since the foundation of our company, we have never performed animal testing in the development of our petfood.
Food chemists, biologists and lab specialists work together to guarantee the very best quality for your pet. With excellent taste, high digestibility and tolerability as well as plenty of goodness for the skin and coat, JOSERA products provide your four-legged friend with genuine benefits. In order to live up to our claim as a leader in terms of quality, we regularly perform voluntary, neutral checks in addition to government-mandated testing. The Josera Erbacher Service laboratory is a testing laboratory accredited by the DAkkS according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. The accreditation is only valid for the scope of accreditation listed in the annex D-PL-19819-01-00. With the laboratory accreditation testers have formally certified that the Laboratory meets the highest possible international quality standard for testing laboratories.
JOSERA – Sustainability across the board
Our daily activities are always focused on our responsibilities towards the environment, nature, animals, our fellow human beings and future generations. We have therefore consolidated all aspects of sustainability – economy, ecology and humanity – into one specific goal: to be completely climate-neutral by 2020. In order to achieve this goal, our sustainability strategy represents a pledge to offset all CO2 emissions created by our products. For this reason, we support the Ntakata Mountains forest preservation project in Tanzania, as active partner in cooperation with Carbon Tanzania and my-climate.
In order to continue to optimize our environmental work, we also continually test all our processes and products as part of our environmental and energy management system. For instance, resource-efficient production and environmentally friendly transportation sustainably reduce the environmental impact of our business activities. We have already received numerous awards for our activities and commitments to saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions.
In 2019, JOSERA was the first petfood producer to publish a sustainability report. This report meets the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
